Healing

Welcome to my new True Bible Study blog. I've just published my books on the New Covenant epistles and one on Healing. Did you know that it is God's will for us to be healed?

  1. Maura,

There exist quite an interest for Bible Verses On Healing. I thought it might be helpful if you started a new topic on "Bible Verses on Healing".

Perhaps we could see excerpts from your book, "Healing".

  2. My book on "Healing" at http://www.truebiblestudy.com/Products.htm includes many records of Jesus healing others and of Christians healing others and being healed.

Many people ask: Is the sick person always required to believe?

The answer: No. The sick person is not required to believe when someone else is responsible for his/her well-being; for example: a master and servant, or a parent and child.
In Matthew 8:5-13 - a centurion acknowledged that Jesus was a man under authority (under God's authoritative power) and that when Jesus said something to a person, thing, or situation then it would have to be done because he spoke under the authority of God.

The words that Jesus spoke were God’s words, the inner-thoughts of God during whatever situation he was in at any particular time (refer to John 8:28, 38, and 12:50).

When Jesus heard the words from the Roman centurion he was astonished, and said to the people following him, "With certainty I say to you, I did not find such an amount of belief (faith, trust relative-to God and myself) with not one person in Israel…."
The Roman centurion believed regarding the authority that God had given to Jesus, but the Israelites had not believed as much of what they were given to believe by God and by Jesus up-to that point.

Jesus then said "You must go, as you believed - it must be caused to come to pass for you."

And immediately the servant/child was healed. He was caused to recover from his illness.
