Dead are dead.

In I Corinthians 15:51-54, however, Paul’s detailed explanation gives us the knowledge and understanding of the truth:

·         The dead holy-people will be raised up from death and will receive their new spiritual bodies –

o   this will be the second time that a human-being who was dead will be made alive by receiving a spiritual body, because Jesus has already been raised up alive from death;

·         then the living holy-people will be changed directly from having their fleshy bodies into having their new spiritual bodies, without dying in-between –

o   this will be the first time that a living human-being will be changed.

Also it is worth noting here that people who die (dead-people) remain dead until the time of their resurrection. Dead-people are dead (they are not alive in any form) until they are resurrected from being dead. At that point they will be judged and they will either receive eternal life or their second/final death being completely destroyed.

Today – while all holy-people (true Christians) await the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to gather us all together with him in the air away from the earth – the only human-being who has already been raised up by God and given a new spiritual body, and will never die again, is the Lord Jesus Christ.
