Romans 8:5-8

.5For the (people) being according to flesh think the-things of the flesh, but the (people) according to spirit the-things of the spirit, .6for the thinking of the flesh (is) death but the thinking of the spirit (is) life and peace, .7for-this-reason-that the thinking of the flesh (is) enmity into God, for it is not subject to the law of God for neither is it able, .8and the (people) being in flesh are not able to please God.

In truth, the people who are actively being according to flesh (existing with the physical fleshy body and its soul/breath life, but lacking holy spirit life)…

·         think the-things of the flesh (they have their mind’s thoughts on the things pertaining-to or proceeding-from the flesh, the physical realm),

…but the people who are being according to spirit (referring to all holy-people, true Christians, because we have holy spirit-life within us)…

·         think the-things of the spirit (we have thoughts in our minds that are things pertaining-to and proceeding-from God’s spirit realm via the holy spirit within us),

…for the thinking of the flesh (the end-product of the flesh’s action of thinking, the thoughts produced in/by the mind of flesh)…

·         is death (results in death; there is no life)

…but the thinking of the spirit (the end-product of the spirit’s action of thinking, the thoughts produced in/by the mind of spirit)…

·         is life (results in life; there is life)

·         and peace (tranquil harmony, tranquility, peaceful wholeness, without any strife or disagreement),

…on account of this reason that the thinking of the flesh is enmity into God (opposition, hostility for/directed-to God), for…

·         it is not subject to the law of God (it is not made or caused to be in subjection to His law, and it does not submit itself to, it is not submissive to, in submission, arranged in the position of being under God’s law, what God makes-known to be the right and correct way of living, which is the way that God set it up, how He divided-out and administers His words to be customarily and rightly used among us; refer to Romans 7:22)

·         for neither is it able (it does not have the ability, able-power, capability to be subject to the law of God),

…and the people being in flesh (those who do not have holy spirit-life within them and so their thinking and actions exclude God’s spirit realm)…

·         are not able to please God (they cannot please Him, they do not have the ability, able-power, capability to give pleasure, to be agreeable, acceptable, gratifying to God).

The devil, satan, evil

The spirit-being called the "devil" originally was a beautiful, bright and glorious angel. However, he rebelled against God and became an evil spirit-being and he continues to be in total opposition to the only true God and all the things of God.

The devil was the first spirit-being that rebelled against God; he wanted to take God's position (refer to Genesis chapter 3). He is the chief of the devil-spirits, which are the other evil spirits in subordination to him; they fell from the position that God had given to them and they are referred to as devils (devil-spirits, demons, evil spirits, unclean spirits, etc). Genesis chapters 6-10, I Peter 3:19 and 20, and Jude 1:6 and 7 also refer to angels that sinned and they are cast down to prison. These angels left their own habitation in like manner to the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah. The time of their fall took place in the days of Noah. These angels are kept in prison awaiting their final judgment (refer to II Peter 2:4) - they are not in gravedom because they are not dead, nor are they in some place called "hell."

The name "devil" is only one of the many names used in the Bible to describe his characteristics, attributes, qualities, activities, etc. It is the Greek word diabolos which comes from the words: "through" and "throw/cast" – the devil throws (casts) things through people, like stabbing a person from outside through the person and out the other side with an accusation, slander, etc. The devil's intention is to interrupt and then destroy any connection between the only true God and mankind, as stated in John 10:10.

Romans 5:1 and 2

5:1Therefore having been made-righteous from belief we have peace towards God by means of our Lord Jesus Christ, .2by means of whom also we have2 the access into this grace in which we stood2 and we boast on hope of the glory of God.

Hebrews 6:9 and 10

.9but we were persuaded2 concerning you, loved-people1, also having the stronger-things of salvation, since also thus we utter-forth, .10for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love1 which you pointed-out into His name having ministered and ministering to the holy-people,

We (myself and those with me) were persuaded and we are still persuaded concerning you (convinced about you)…

·         loved1 people (beloved, truly you are loved by God and by myself with God’s kind of love),

…also having the stronger-things of salvation (you are already saved and hold the things that are comparatively more forceful with exerted-power which pertain-to and belong-to the standing and state of being saved, safety from sins and their consequences, from destruction, made-safe to/with God and His son, the Lord Jesus Christ)…

·         since it is also in this manner that we speak (as detailed throughout this writing, the Book of Hebrews; refer to Hebrews 1:14, 2:3 and 10, 5:9, 9:28),

…for God is not unrighteous to forget (He is not unjust by causing Himself to forget upon, to willingly escape to place notice resting or based on, to cease to pay attention to, to disregard)…

·         your work (the work you do, your productive activity)

·         and the love1 which you pointed-out into His name (the Godly-love that you indicated as with a finger for His name, you displayed it regarding God’s name which incorporates the fullness of everything involved with Him, all that He is and will continue to be, all of His authoritative-power, ability, workings, etc, His distinguishing and distinctive constitution, character, and quality)

o   having previously ministered and you are presently ministering (serving to bestow benefit, actively doing work to bring profit, you are carrying-out your day-by-day ministerial duties, your duties of service pertaining to God and the things of God)

§  to the holy-people (the sanctified people, Christians, saints, who have received holy spirit-life and therefore have become children of the only true God).

The word "love1" or the verb "to love1" comes from the Greek word agape which is God's kind of love. To love with His love means to love the same way as God loves, to manifest God's love towards another, whether it is towards God Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ, yourself, your Christian neighbor, or towards anyone else. God tells His children today (all who have the spirit of Christ within us) how to Godly-love by means of His previously-revealed written Word and also via our holy spirit-life whereby we receive information from Him regarding how to love in different specific situations.

It is the carrying out of God's commandments, His Word, which is the correct usage or way to manifest God's kind of love according to His will (refer to I Corinthians chapter 13 and I John 5:1-3). It is not the same as the brotherly or friendly kind of love, nor is it the same as the emotional/feelings/sexual kind of love.

II Corinthians 13:11

.11As-to-the-rest, brothers, you must joy; you must fully-equip-yourselves; you must encourage-yourselves; you must think the same-thing; you must live-peaceably – and the God of love1 and peace will be with you.

Revelation 3: 7-13

.7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia you must write:

'The holy-one, the true-one, the (one) having the key of David, the (one) opening and not-one will shut, and shutting and not-one opens, says the-things-here -

.8I knew2 your works - look!, I gave2 before you a door having been opened2 which not-one-person is able to shut it - that you have small ability, and you kept my word, and you did not deny my name. .9Look!, I may give (some) from the synagogue of satan, the (people) saying themselves to be Judeans and they are not but they lie - look!, I will make them in order that they will have-come and they will worship before your feet and they may know that I loved1 you, .10that you kept my word of the patient-endurance; and I will keep you from the hour of the temptation, the (hour) being about to come on the whole inhabited-area to tempt the (people) dwelling-down on the earth. .11I come quickly. You must strongly-hold that-which you have in order that not-one-person may receive your crown.

.12The (person) being-victorious - I will make him a pillar in the interior-temple of my God, and he may never yet go-out outside, and I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, the (one) descending out-from heaven from my God, and my name, the new (name).

.13The (person) having an ear must hear what the spirit says to the churches.'

Hebrews 1:14 - angels

.14All are official-serving spirits being apostled into (the) ministry because-of the (people) being about to inherit salvation, aren’t they? - (yes.)

All of God's angels are official-serving spirits (spirit-beings performing the office, work, official-duty pertaining to public service attending to their superior Who is the only true God)…

·         being apostled into the ministry (presently being sent-forth on specific mission(s) or assignment(s) directed-to, with a view to the day-to-day ministerial duties or functions of serving others to benefit them, not 'being subject' to them but doing work to bring them profit from God’s viewpoint)

o   because of the people being about to inherit salvation (on account of those presently being on the point of inheriting, becoming heirs of the assigned lot, the allotted portion which is salvation, the standing and state of being saved, safety, made-safe to/with God and His son, the Lord Jesus Christ who has already inherited his inheritance),

o   aren’t they?

Yes, all of God's angels are official-serving spirits being apostled into the ministry because-of the people being about to inherit salvation.

God’s angels continue to perform their assignments of benefiting the heirs of salvation. Today’s heirs of salvation are holy-people (Christians, those who have received the gift of holy spirit).

Luke 12:34 - your treasure

...for where your treasure is there also will be your heart.
The "heart" refers to the the center or core of your being, and it will be in the location where you store-up your treasure - whether good or bad.

Luke 7:11-17

.11And it came-to-pass in the next (day) he journeyed into a city being called Nain, and his learning-disciples used-to journey-together with him and a big crowd.
.12But as he came-near the gate of the city, also look!, an only-begotten son to his mother having died2 used-to-be carried-out and she used-to-be a widow, and a crowd of the city used-to-be sufficient together-with her. .13And having seen her the Lord had-compassion on her and said to her, "You must not cry." .14And having come-towards (her) he touched the bier, and the (people) lifting-up stood, and he said, "Young-man, to you I say, 'You must be raised-up.'"
.15And the dead-man sat-up and began to utter-forth, and he gave him to his mother. .16But fear took all-people and they used-to-glorify God saying that, "A great prophet was raised-up among us," and that, "God looked-intensely-at His people." .17And this word went-out in whole Judea concerning him and all the country-around.

Genesis 1:1 - beginning

God created the heaven and the earth in the beginning as recorded in Genesis 1:1 – 2:3. It took God six days to accomplish creation and on the seventh day He rested from all His work. God opens this account by summarizing what He did for mankind (human-beings).

Genesis 1:1:

1:1In (the) beginning God made the heaven and the earth,

Mark 3:1-5

Mark 3:1-5:

3:1And he went again into the synagogue and a man used-to-be there having the hand having been dried2. .2And they used-to keep-closely-to him if on the sabbaths he will attend-to him in order that they may accuse him. .3And he says to the man, the (man) having the dried hand, "You must rise-up into the midst." .4And he says to them, "Is it permitted on the sabbaths to do a good-thing or to do-bad, to save a soul or to kill?" But the (people) used-to be-silent.

.5And having observed-around them with wrath, being caused sorrow-together on the process-of-hardening of their heart, he says to the man, "You must stretch-out the hand." And he stretched-out and his hand was restored.

Jesus went again (a second, another, further time, once again) into the synagogue and during that past time there was a man at that location with the hand that had been dried and continued dried (withered).

However, some people were continuing to keep closely to Jesus (keeping close watch of him, keeping an eye on him as with sinister or superstitious intent, watching for the opportunity) if during the sabbaths he will attend to him (treat the man therapeutically, take care of him as necessary) for the purpose and result that they would accuse him (publicly speak against Jesus). The record in Luke 6:7 tells us that these people were the scribes and the Pharisees.

And Jesus says to the man, emphatically and specifically the man with the withered hand…

·         "You must rise-up into the midst (it is imperative that you arise into the middle, the center of the group of people)."

Jesus says to them...

·         "Is it permitted (available or possible to be done) during the sabbaths

    • to do a good-thing (perform that-which is good from God's viewpoint; God is the One Who issues His goodness and He sets the standard of/for what is good to be conformed to by others)
    • or to do-bad (perform that-which is bad from God's viewpoint, do what does not issue from God),
    • to save a soul (make a living human-being safe; the word translated "soul" literally refers to the life of the physical body which is evidenced by breathing, soul/breath life, soul is what allows a person to move and work, etc, living in the physical category)
    • or to kill (to end the life of a human-being)?"

But the scribes and the Pharisees were silent (keeping quiet, continued not to speak). Jesus was in the process of doing a good-thing and saving a soul, but those men were in the process of doing bad and killing a soul (refer to verse 6 below).

After Jesus observed-around them (looked and mentally envisioned concerning or about them, even though Jesus may not physically see something with his physical eyes but he could receive the information via the holy spirit within him – after he was mentally-aware of and contemplated them)...

·         in company and association with wrath (referring to God’s wrath, which is God's lasting angry vengeance, like the heat of a burning fire; this is not a spur-of-the-moment thing on God's part because He has foretold regarding the consequences of unbelief and rejection of His Word including the promised seed, the savior Jesus himself, all through the ages since Genesis 3:15; the wrath of God is righteous and issues right/just judgment, and in that situation Jesus was carrying-out all that God tells him to do, including God's wrath),

    • being caused sorrow-together (caused to grieve in conjunction with the whole situation)
    • resting or based upon the process-of-hardening (the word translated "process-of-hardening" literally refers to the process by which the ends of fractured bones are reunited which is by a callus; a callus is a mass or lump of spread-out and connective tissue that forms around the break in a bone, and it is converted into bone in the healing of that break – but in this context it is used in the bad sense of the process of hardening)
    • of their heart (the center/core of their being, their personal lives, which would include their attributes, characteristics, qualities, being hard against God and the things of God; the singular word "heart" emphasizes that all of them have the same kind of heart – callous),

...Jesus says to the man…

·         "You must stretch-out (extend, stretch forth)

o   the hand."

The man stretched his hand out and it was restored (it received complete-restitution, it was put-back into its former state, reestablished, back to the way that his other hand was – sound, healthy).

This man believed what Jesus said to him and did exactly as he was instructed by Jesus. He did not rely on his physical condition. The 5-senses or fleshy viewpoint indicated that what Jesus said was totally illogical because his hand was dried, so how could he stretch it out! But when the man relied-on and did what Jesus said to him, his dried hand was restored.

Matthew 6:34

Therefore let you not be anxious into tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious of itself; sufficient for the day (is) its badness.

Jesus said: "Therefore let you not be anxious into tomorrow (this is a polite command or a very strong suggestion advising those listening to him that they should not be mentally distracted with care regarding, into or with a view to tomorrow, which is the day after today).

The truth is that tomorrow will be anxious of itself (tomorrow will have its own anxieties, tomorrow will be mentally distracted regarding tomorrow's things, tomorrow's anxieties belong to tomorrow, not today, nor do they belong to you).

Sufficient for the day is its badness.”

The badness carried out on a day is sufficient to deal with during that day. That-which is bad being contrary to God's intention, which happens during any particular day, is adequate (satisfied with enough) to be mentally distracted with care about on that same day, not the next day, nor the previous day. God’s people should behave themselves correctly each day instead of increasing the number of bad things occurring on any day.

Romans 5:1 and 2

5:1Therefore having been made-righteous from belief we have peace towards God by means of our Lord Jesus Christ, .2by means of whom also we have2 the access into this grace in which we stood2 and we boast on hope of the glory of God.

Following-on logically from chapter 4, since we (holy-people) have already been made righteous (justified)…

·         from belief (out-from or originating-from faith; we have believed the information that God makes known to people to have confidence-in with assured certainty and surety; what God gives to believe, to have faith-in, to trust; referring to the belief concerning His son, the Lord Jesus Christ)

…we presently have peace (we hold tranquil harmony, tranquility, peaceful wholeness, without any strife or disagreement [some Greek texts read “let us have peace” but that does not fit in this context])…

·         towards (with a purposed reference to) God

o   by means of our Lord/Master Jesus Christ (through him; he is the agency by way of which the initiated progress passes-through in order to reach the accomplishment of all of us having peace towards God),

o   by means of whom also (through our Lord Jesus Christ additionally)

…we have gained and continue to have/hold the access (the one and only leading or bringing towards, the approach [some Greek texts include the words “the belief”])…

·         into this grace (the bestowed unmerited or undeserved favor given to us by God; refer to Romans 3:24 and 4:16)

o   in which we stood and continue to stand (we stand firmly in position as opposed to falling; we stood for the first time in this grace when we initially believed what God gave us to believe, and we continue to stand within, or surrounded-by, this grace – referring to the holy spirit category)

…and we boast (speak justifiably loudly)…

·         resting or based upon hope (on what God, via the Lord Jesus Christ, has given us to expect to come to pass in the future, the firm anticipation concerning our future)

o   of the glory of God (pertaining to the full manifestation of the importance, splendor and renown caused-by and emanating-from God).

John 8:12

.12Therefore again Jesus uttered-forth to them saying, "I am the light of the world; the (person) following me may never walk in the darkness but he will have the light of the life."

Following-on logically, Jesus further spoke to them saying...

·         "Emphatically I am (again there is emphasis by including a definite word for “I” – I myself am)

    • the light of the world (the absolute light that God is making available to/for mankind, human-beings, who inhabit the ordered-arrangement that God created);

·         the person who is following me (coming after me)

    • would never walk (the word translated “never” comes from two Greek words both meaning “no” or “not” – the double negative emphasizes the point – that person would not ever walk around, he would not at any time behave during the everyday living of his life, conducting himself)

§  in the darkness (within the character, attributes, and sphere of action of the lack or absence of God's light)

    • but on the contrary,
    • at a future time he will have the light of the life (referring to the fact that he will receive God's life which is holy spirit-life, eternal life; God's light consists of, issues, emanates His life)."

Ephesians 4:4-6

Verses 4-6:
.4(for there is) one body and one spirit, according as also you were called in one hope of your calling, .5one Lord, one belief, one baptism, .6one God and Father of all (holy-people), the (One being) upon all and through all and in all.

The truth is that there is:
1.     one body (the one spiritual body of Christ of which all holy-people are limbs/members; refer to Ephesians 1:22 and 23, plus 2:16)
2.     and one spirit (the one holy spirit-life which is the spirit of Christ in all holy-people; refer to Ephesians 2:18),
…according as also you were called (just as, according to how, in comparison to the way that in addition you have already been invited, as verse 1 above)…
3.     in one hope of your calling (hope is what God gives holy-people to expect to come to pass in the future; it is what God hopes, His firm-anticipation concerning a future specific situation or circumstance – within the sphere of action of one hope pertaining to the invitation issued to you and which you accepted; refer to Ephesians 1:18 and 2:7),
4.     one Lord (one Master who is the resurrected Christ Jesus; this word emphasizes and confirms the validity and authenticity of the Christ’s lordship, including dominion and authority, over and relative-to his slaves, plus the respectful submission due to him by his slaves; refer to Ephesians 1:2 and 3:11),
5.     one belief (one faith/trust; belief is the information that God makes known to have confidence-in with assured certainty and surety – belief regarding Christ Jesus our Lord; refer to Ephesians 1:13, 2:8, and 3:12),
6.     one baptism (one baptism for God’s people today which is to be immersed or surrounded within holy spirit; it is spiritual-water and all holy-people have been washed clean permanently in holy spirit-life),
7.     one God and Father of all holy-people (only one – not many entities such as idols or persons of the idolatrous 3-in-1 trinity abomination – there is ONE God Who is also the Father of all holy-people because we have received the spirit of Christ in us, and God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ),
o   specifically God our Father is the One Who is presently and actively continuing to be
o   upon all (on, upon, over, higher up than all holy-people including the Lord Jesus Christ – not that God controls all, but He is above it all, His authority is superior, and He will continue according to what He says no matter what others may do to try to stop Him)
o   and through all (through all holy-people including the Lord Jesus Christ – God works by means/way of all of His sons to reach the accomplishment of His intention)
o   and in all (within all holy-people including the Lord Jesus Christ because we all have the same holy spirit-life).
